With the motor running the uncontrolled movement of the vehicle can be possible if a selector lever position is engaged.

- Engage the parking brake.

-- Remove the selector lever handle. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER HANDLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the center console. Refer to CENTER CONSOLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Free up the wiring harness -2-.

-- Remove the nuts -arrows- and lower the emergency release mount -1-.

-- Remove the noise insulation. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .

-- Disconnect and lower the tunnel heat shield slightly. Refer to appropriate Service Information .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.
