Tip:
- When the parking lock is emergency released, the "N" mode is displayed in the instrument cluster.
- The following message also appears in the instrument cluster: "Vehicle may roll! Cannot shift to P. Please apply parking brake".
Resetting the Release
-- Remove the release tool up to the lock (approximately 5 mm) and turn back up to the stop. Now the release tool can be removed.
- Never turn the release tool counter-clockwise, because this will damage the selector mechanism and the release tool.
- When the parking lock is set "P" must be displayed in the instrument cluster and in the Selector Lever Transmission Range Display -Y5-.
