Ribbed Belt For Generator, Removing And Installing, 2.9L Engine: Removing
Depending on the model, preliminary work may be required. Refer to RIBBED BELT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING (DKMB, DLZA) .
-- Remove the ribbed belt from the A/C compressor. Refer to RIBBED BELT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING (DKMB, DLZA) .
CAUTION:
Risk of destroying a used ribbed belt by reversing the running direction.
- Mark the running direction before removal.
- Pay attention to the running direction when reinstalling.
-- Pivot the tensioner counter-clockwise -arrow- using a wrench to release the tension on the ribbed belt.
-- Lock the tensioner using the Locking Pin :T10060A and remove the ribbed belt.
