Center Console, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Beginning at the front, unclip the trim panel -1- using a scraper from the Scraper Set: VAS 6845  -arrows-.

-- Remove the bolt -2-.

-- Repeat the procedure on the opposite side.

-- Remove the front footwell center console trim panels. Refer to Front Footwell Center Console Trim Panel, Removing and Installing  .

-- Remove the center console insert side trim. Refer to CENTER CONSOLE INSERT SIDE TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the center console decorative trim. Refer to Center Console Decorative Trim, Removing and Installing  .

-- Remove the center console insert. Refer to Center Console Insert, Removing and Installing  .

-- Remove the rear trims. Refer to Center Console Rear Trim, Removing and Installing  .

-- Remove the front storage compartment in the center console. Refer to CENTER CONSOLE FRONT STORAGE COMPARTMENT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794-. Refer to the appropriate Service Information .

-- Disconnect the connectors -A- and -C-.

-- Remove the air guide for the air duct -B-.

-- Disconnect the connectors and free up the wiring.

-- Unclip and free up the wiring harness using the Pry Lever:80-200  .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Loosen the front seat and fold it to the rear with the wires still connected. Refer to FRONT SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Unclip the cap -1-.

-- Remove the bolt -arrow A- behind it.

-- Repeat the procedure on the opposite side.

-- Remove the bolts -B arrows-.

-- Free up the wires.

-- Lift the center console with the center armrest and pull it to the rear.

-- Guide out the wire and rear the center console rearward.
