Overview - Heater And A/C Unit

The overview shows a LHD vehicle as an example. The component layout is a mirror image for RHD vehicles.

1. Bolt
   • 1 Nm
2. Air Intake Housing
   • Air intake housing, removing and installing at heater and A/C unit. Refer to AIR INTAKE MANIFOLD FROM HEATER AND A/C UNIT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
3. Insulation
   • Removing and Installing. Refer to Fresh Air Blower -V2- WITH Fresh Air Blower Control Module -J126-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
4. Acoustic Cover
   • Removing and Installing. Refer to DUST AND POLLEN FILTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
5. Screw Clips
   • Removing and Installing. Refer to DUST AND POLLEN FILTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
6. Heater and A/C Unit Air Distribution Housing with Evaporator
   • There are different versions. Refer to the Parts Information.
   • Removing and installing the evaporator housing from the air distribution box. Refer to EVAPORATOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
   • Refer to OVERVIEW - FRONT ACTUATORS 
7. Heater and A/C Unit Wiring Harness
   • There are different versions. Refer to the Parts Information.
   • Mark the allocation before disconnecting the connectors to reduce the risk of interchanging (connectors identical in construction are used for different adjustment motors and temperature sensors).
   • Secure the wiring harness to mounting points provided on the housing (using cable ties or on the mounts) so that it does not come into contact with moving components.
8. Insulation
   • Installed between the air duct in the air distribution housing and in the resonator chamber in the air distribution box.
