-- Move seat depth adjuster forward.

-- Remove the front seat. Refer to Front Seat, Removing and Installing .

-- Remove the seat frame trim panel on the side sill side and remove the bracket. Refer to SEAT FRAME TRIM PANEL ON SIDE SILL SIDE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the backrest hinge on the seat frame trim panel. Refer to BACKREST HINGE SEAT FRAME TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Vehicles with Sport Seats (Q1J)

-- Remove the seat cushion fan. Refer to SEAT CUSHION FAN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Equipped on some models: remove the fire extinguisher mount. Refer to FIRE EXTINGUISHER BRACKET, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Unclip the clips -arrow- for the cover -1- on the left and right on the seat frame with wedge no. 1 from the Scraper Set: VAS6845  .

-- Disengage and remove the molding -2- from the cover on the side on the seat frame using the Backrest Panel Tool:3370  .

-- Standard seat (Q1G): disengage and remove the molding -1- from the cover using the Backrest Panel Tool:3370  .

Vehicles with Sport/Comfort Seats (Q1J/Q2J)

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and unclip the seat cushion extension cushion -1- and tip it forward.

-- Disengage the clamping strip -1- from the cover for the seat cushion extension from the bracket -2-.

-- Equipped on some models: free up the wire and disconnect the connector -3-.

-- Disengage the rubber grommet -1- for the fan on the bracket.

-- Release the clip -arrows- and loosen the cushion with the cover from the seat pan.

For removing the cover and cushion:

-- Disengage the tension bands -3- at the bottom of the seat pan and fold upward.

-- Equipped on some models: disconnect the seat heating connector -1-.

-- North America versions with passenger occupant detection system (front passenger side): note the information. Refer to SEAT OCCUPANT DETECTION SYSTEM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Unclip the bracket -arrows- and free up the lines.

-- Pry out and remove the molding -2- for the cover using a flat-head screwdriver.

-- Guide the cover and cushion under the backrest frame toward the front.

-- Detach and remove the cushion with the cover from the seat pan.
