Check Valve With Vacuum Line In Engine Compartment, Removing And Installing, 3.0L TFSI Engine: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

• Do not damage the vacuum line.
• A damaged vacuum line must be replaced.
• Replace the O-ring after removal.
• Make sure the O-Ring is installed in the correct position.

Coating the vacuum line with water (not with oil) makes it easier to remove.

-- Install the bracket for the A/C compressor. Refer to appropriate Crankshaft, Cylinder Block article, Cylinder Block, Belt Pulley Side; Sub-Assembly Bracket, Removing and Installing .

-- Install the air filter housing. Refer to appropriate Multiport Fuel Injection article, Air Filter; Air Filter Housing, Removing and Installing .
