Brake Booster, Removing And Installing, Electromechanical Brake Booster: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

TIP: 

• The bulkhead must not be damaged and it must be free of dents.
• Remove old sealant residue from the bulkhead in the vehicle before installing.
• Clean the contact surface on the brake booster.

-- Thoroughly clean the rest of the dripping brake fluid off of the plenum chamber.

-- Attach the brake pedal to the brake booster. Refer to BRAKE PEDAL, ATTACHING TO BRAKE BOOSTER .

-- Remove all cloths from the vehicle that were previously placed down.

-- After removing and installing the same brake booster, select the "Brake booster basic setting" program. Refer to DIAGNOSTIC ENTRIES .
