Transmission Fluid Pan, Removing And Installing: Removing

Removed transmission, if transmission is installed: Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID PAN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Drain the ATF. Refer to ATF, DRAINING AND FILLING .

-- 3.0 TDI with low pressure EGR: remove the rear EGR cooler. Refer to the appropriate Service Information .

-- Remove the 2.0 TFSI with particulate filter. Refer to PARTICULATE FILTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING (2.0L) .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

• The coolant hose -2- stays connected to the ATF cooler.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the protective plate -1-.

-- Place the Used Oil Collection and Extraction Unit:SMN372500  underneath.

-- Only loosen the bolts -2- and remove the bolts -1 and 3-.

-- Remove the ATF pipe -1- and the ATF cooler -2- from the oil pan.

-- Seal the open lines and connections with clean plugs from the Engine Bung Set:VAS 6122  .

-- Remove the bolts in the sequence -25 to 1- and remove the transmission fluid pan.
