Shock Absorber, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

-- Install the threaded connections up to the stop but do not tighten yet.

NOTE:

Bonded rubber bushings have a limited range of rotation. Only tighten the threaded connections for the suspension when the vehicle is in curb weight position.

-- Lift the wheel bearing in curb weight position. Refer to WHEEL BEARING IN CURB WEIGHT POSITION, LIFTING VEHICLES WITH COIL SPRING .

Equipment versions with Dynamic Ride Control (DRC):

-- Fill the DRC system. Refer to DYNAMIC RIDE CONTROL (DRC), DRAINING AND FILLING .

After replacement of the shock absorbers:

For the equipment version with electronic damping: perform the basic setting of the electronic damping function. Refer to ELECTRONIC DAMPING BASIC SETTING .
