Front Lower Transverse Link, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Before starting the procedure, determine the curb weight position. Refer to WHEEL BEARING IN CURB WEIGHT POSITION, LIFTING VEHICLES WITH COIL SPRING .
-- Remove the rear wheel. Refer to WHEELS AND TIRES .
-- Loosen the rear underbody trim panel in the rear area and push slightly downward. Refer to OVERVIEW - UNDERBODY TRIM PANELS .
-- Install the Support Device:VAS 6931/1 -A- to the brake rotor -1- using two wheel bolts -2-.
-- Position the Engine and Gearbox Jack:VAS 6931 -B- at the support device and lift the wheel bearing housing slightly, doing so will make it easier to disconnect the threaded connections.
Risk of accident!
- Do not lift or lower the vehicle when the engine and gearbox jack is under the vehicle.
- Do not leave the engine and gearbox jack under the vehicle any longer than necessary.
-- Equipped on some models: release the retainers -arrows- and unclip the wind deflector -1-.
-- Disconnect the threaded connection -1- on the left side of the vehicle.
-- Disconnect the threaded connection -1- on the right side of the vehicle, attach the subframe and lower. Refer to SUBFRAME, SECURING .
-- Remove the bolt -3- and remove the lower transverse link -2-.
