Remote Backrest Release, Removing And Installing, A5 Coupe: Removing

-- Remove the expanding clip -1- with the Pliers:T40172C  .

-- Remove the bolt -2-.

-- Remove the remote backrest release -3- in the -direction of the arrow- from the mount on the body and unclip from the luggage compartment side trim panel.

-- Remove the release cable -1 and 2- in the -direction of the arrow A- from the mount -3- and disengage.

-- Release the mount from the catches -arrow B- and remove from the remote backrest release -arrow C-.

-- Disengage the release cable nipple -1 and 2- from the mount and operating lever -3 and 4-.

-- Left remote backrest release: disengage the release cable bracket -1- from the mount on the remote backrest release -2- -arrow-.

-- Pivot the release cable in the -direction of the arrow- and disengage the release cable nipple from the mount on the release lever -3-.
