Backrest Release Trim, Removing And Installing

Special tools and workshop equipment required

Removing, Standard/Sport Seat

-- Pull the operating lever -2- upward and hold it pressed.

-- Push a flat-head screwdriver between the trim -1- and operating lever, as shown.

-- Release the right catches -arrow A-.

-- Repeat the procedure on the opposite side left hook -arrow B-.

-- Bring the operating lever -1- back into the resting position.

-- Pull the trim -2- by hand over the operating lever -arrow- and disengage, if necessary push on the opposite side.

-- If installed, disconnect the connector for the entry assistance switch.

Removing, Super Sport Seat

-- Unclip the trim -1- for the backrest release starting at the top using the Trim Removal Wedge:3409 -arrow-.

-- Remove the trim upward, guide out the pull strap and remove.

Installing

-- Pull the operating lever slightly upward, guide the trim over the operating lever and engage the rear tabs in the backrest release.

Further installation is performed in reverse order of the removal.
