Fuel Pump Control Module -J538-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Removing

-- Observe the safety instructions. Refer to SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .

-- Follow the guidelines for clean working conditions. Refer to GUIDELINES FOR CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .

Cabriolet:

-- Remove the right rear side trim panel. Refer to OVERVIEW - SIDE TRIM PANEL .

-- If installed, remove the Right Rear Subwoofer -R240-. Refer to COMPONENT LOCATION OVERVIEW - SOUND SYSTEM .

All:

-- Remove the bench seat. Refer to BENCH SEAT/SINGLE SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Release the catches -arrows- using a screwdriver and remove the Fuel Pump Control Module -J538- -item 1- from the bracket.

-- Remove the fuel pump control module from under the sill panel/side trim panel.

-- Release the connector safety catch and disconnect the connector -2- for the Fuel Pump Control Module -J538-.
