Safety Precautions When Working On SCR System

The reducing agent increases the risk of injury
Reducing agents may cause eye and skin irritation as well as injury to the respiratory system and possible poisoning.
-- Wear protective eyewear.
-- Wear safety gloves.
-- Wear protective work clothing.
-- Switch on an exhaust extracting system in enclosed spaces.
CAUTION:
Never reuse reducing agent under any circumstances. Refer to the appropriate ServiceNet → Environment Protection → Workshop Disposal for information on storage and disposal. Ask the importer about country-specific storage and disposal information.
Note the following when removing or installing any components of the SCR system:
- The reducing agent tank must be empty when working on the selective catalytic reduction system. When the reducing tank needs to be emptied, read the respective procedure description.
