Latch Release Cable, Removing And Installing, RHD, (Not For North AMERICA): Removing

-- Remove the latch release lever mounting bracket. Refer to LATCH RELEASE LEVER MOUNTING BRACKET, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- If equipped, remove the Relay and Fuse Panel 4 -SR4-. Refer to COMPONENT LOCATION OVERVIEW - RELAY PANELS, FUSE PANELS AND E-BOXES .

-- Remove the right A-pillar connector station. Refer to Connectors .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and air duct -1-.

-- Remove the air duct -2-.

-- Release the retainers -arrows- and remove the housing cover -1-.

-- Loosen the release cable -2- from the support bracket -4- and disengage the release cable nipple -3-.

-- Free up the release cable at the lock carrier and on the body.

-- Push the insulation to the side.

-- Remove the grommet and remove the release cable outward.

-- Remove the latch. Refer to LATCH, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Release the retainers -arrows- and remove the housing cover -1-.

-- Loosen the release cable -2- from the support bracket -4- and disengage the release cable nipple -3-.

-- Release the catches and remove the coupling from the lock carrier.

-- Free up the release cables and guide them out of the lock carrier.
