1. Brake Shield
   • Refer to BRAKE SHIELD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING 
2. Wheel Bearing Housing
3. Bracket
   • For brake hose and wire
4. Bolt
   • 20 Nm
5. Hose Bracket
   • for brake hose
6. Brake Hose
   • Make sure the brake hose is routed correctly. Make sure the brake hose is not blocked, bent, twisted or rubbing against the vehicle.
   • Replace if damaged
   • Make sure that tabs are properly seated in the grooves on the bracket.
   • Brake hose to brake caliper tightening specification: 14 Nm
7. Hose Bracket
   • Replace if damaged
8. Bracket
   • For the brake line/hose
   • On the body
9. Spring
   • Replace if damaged
10. Brake Line
    • Do not change the bending shape.
    • Replace a damaged or bent brake line
    • Brake line to brake hose tightening specification: 14 Nm
11. Bolt
    • 200 Nm
12. Brake Pads
    • Allocation. Refer to the appropriate Electronic Parts Information.
    • Inner brake pads with a mount for the brake pad wear sensor
    • Check the pad thickness. For the wear limit, refer to BRAKE PADS, CHECKING THICKNESS
    • Always replace on both sides of the axle.
    • Refer to BRAKE PADS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, SIX-PISTON STEEL BRAKE 
    • Refer to Fig 3
13. Brake Pad Retaining Plate
    • Replace when replacing the pads
    • Check for proper seating
14. Protective Cap
15. Bleed Screw
    • Refer to HYDRAULIC SYSTEM, BLEEDING
    • 18 Nm
16. Brake Pad Wear Indicator Wire
    • For the left inner brake pad with the Left Front Brake Pad Wear Sensor -G34-
    • Replace when replacing the pads
    • Refer to BRAKE PAD WEAR INDICATOR WIRE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING 
17. Brake Caliper
    • Allocation. Refer to the appropriate Electronic Parts Information.
    • Do not loosen the brake caliper/brake carrier threaded connections. Refer to Fig 2.
    • Refer to BRAKE CALIPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, SIX-PISTON STEEL BRAKE 
    • Refer to BRAKE CALIPER, REPLACING, SIX-PISTON STEEL BRAKE 
    • Servicing. Refer to BRAKE CALIPER PISTON, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, SIX-PISTON BRAKE .
18. Brake Pad Spring
    • Replace when replacing the pads
    • Check for proper seating
19. Brake Pad Retaining Plate
    • Replace when replacing the pads
    • Check for proper seating
20. Brake Rotor
    • Allocation. Refer to the appropriate Electronic Parts Information.
    • Wear limit specified on the brake rotor
    • Refer to BRAKE ROTOR, CHECKING, STEEL BRAKES
    • Always replace on both sides of the axle.
    • When replacing the brake rotors, also replace the brake pads.
    • Refer to BRAKE ROTOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, STEEL BRAKES 
21. Bolt
    • 8 Nm
22. Bolt
    • 10 Nm

Do not loosen the caliper/brake carrier threaded connections

Version 1:

-- Pay attention to the labeling -arrow- on the brake pads:

• LEFT OUTER
• LEFT INNER
• RIGHT OUTER
• RIGHT INNER

Version 2:

-- Pay attention to the labeling -2- on the brake pads:

• LEFT OUTER
• LEFT INNER
• RIGHT OUTER
• RIGHT INNER

• When installed, the arrow -1- on the brake pad backing plate must point upward.
