Selector Mechanism, Checking: Notes

Test Requirements:

Pull the parking brake button to close the electro-mechanical parking brake.
Selector lever in "P".

Overview:

2. Selector Mechanism Functionality, Checking. Refer to 2. Selector Mechanism Function Test (Shiftlock) .
3. Transmission Range Indicator, Checking. Refer to 3. Checking the Transmission Range Indicator .
4. Display in Instrument Cluster, Checking. Refer to 4. Display in Instrument Cluster, Checking .
5. Parking Lock, Checking. Refer to 5. Checking the Parking Lock. .

When the specified values are not reached, check if the selector lever handle is installed correctly (refer to SELECTOR LEVER HANDLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING ) or perform the "Diagnostic" using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
