Rear Muffler Heat Shield, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Loosen the rear muffler mounting and lower it slightly using the Engine and Gearbox Jack:VAS 6931 . Refer to OVERVIEW - MUFFLER - 2.0L , OVERVIEW - MUFFLER - 3.0L , OVERVIEW - MUFFLER - Servicing 3.0L .
-- Remove the nuts -arrows-.
-- Remove the heat shield -1-.
TIP:
g-tron: the retaining pieces from the left heat shield are different then the above illustration.
- Left heat shield: 4 nuts
- Right heat shield: 3 nuts
