- Before installing coat thinly using Lubricating Grease. For the allocation. Refer to the appropriate Parts Information.

- When loosening and tightening, counterhold at the guide pin
- Coat the guide pin before installing with Lubricating Grease. Refer to the appropriate Parts Information for the allocation.

- Electro-Mechanical Parking Brake Motor
- Left Parking Brake Motor -V282-
- Right Parking Brake Motor -V283-
- Guide Pin
- Check ease of movement
- Coat the guide pin before installing with Lubricating Grease. Refer to the appropriate Parts Information for the allocation.
- Clip
- Brake Pad Wear Indicator Wire
- Replace when replacing the brake pads.
- With Left Rear Brake Pad Wear Sensor -G36- /Right Rear Brake Pad Wear Sensor -G37-
- For inner brake pad
- Refer to BRAKE PAD WEAR INDICATOR WIRE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING

- Replace together with the brake hose
- Clean any corrosion from the sealing surface on the brake caliper

- Replace if damaged
- Pay attention to the correct routing: make sure the brake hose is not blocked, bent or rubbing against the vehicle
- Make sure that tabs are properly seated in the grooves on the bracket.

- Brake line to brake hose tightening specification: 14 Nm

- Replace damaged bolts
- Replace after removing.
- Clean bolts before reusing

- Replace after removing.

- Wheel Bearing Housing
- Brake Shield

- Brake Rotor
- Replace on both sides of axle if worn.
- Do not use excessive force to separate the brake rotor from the wheel hub. Use rust remover, if necessary, otherwise the brake rotor could be damaged.
- Refer to BRAKE ROTOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
When changing the brake pad, check the brake rotor for wear and damage.

- Replace damaged bolts
- Replace the self-locking bolts after removing them
- Clean bolts before reusing
- Brake Pads
- Always replace on both sides of the axle
- Check the pad thickness. Refer to BRAKE PADS, CHECKING THICKNESS .
- Refer to BRAKE PADS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
- Installation position. Refer to Fig 2.
When changing the brake pad, check the brake rotor for wear and damage.
- Brake Carrier
- Delivered as an assembled replacement part with sufficient grease on the guide pins
- Coat the guide pin before installing with Lubricating Grease. Refer to the appropriate Parts Information for the allocation.
- Refer to BRAKE CARRIER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
- Coat the running surface for the brake pads thinly with Grease. Refer to the appropriate Parts Information for the allocation.
- Brake Caliper
- Refer to BRAKE CALIPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
- Refer to BRAKE CALIPER, REPLACING
- After servicing or replacing, perform "Guided Fault Finding" using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
Brake Pad Installation Position
- In installed position, the arrow on the backing plate of the actual brake pad must point downward
TIP:
The layout of the arrow is different depending on the manufacturer.
The contact of the brake pad wear indicator is inserted in the opening -arrow- of the inner brake pad.
