Upper Left Coolant Pipe, Longitudinal Member, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the rear noise insulation. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .

-- Release and disconnect the connector -1- for the Engine Coolant Level Sensor -G32-.

-- Release the retainers using a screwdriver in direction of -arrow-, pull off the coolant expansion tank -2- with connected coolant hoses upward out of the bracket as far as possible and put aside.

-- Unclip and free up the refrigerant line -7- from the coolant line -2- out of the bracket.

-- Open the clip -3- and free up the coolant hose -6-.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Remove the coolant expansion tank bracket upwards -1-, at the same time guide the fixing studs out of the grommet -4- of the bracket -5-.

-- Remove the rear noise insulation. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .

-- Position the Shop Crane - Drip Tray:VAS6208  on the right side in the area of the transmission and the subframe.

-- Clamp off the coolant hoses -1, 4, 6, 7 and 8- using the Hose Clamp - Up To 25mm:3094  .

-- Lift the clamp -5-. Remove the coolant hose -4- and catch the leaking coolant.

-- Loosen the hose clamps -arrows-.

-- Pull of the coolant hoses -1, 6, 7 and 8- from the coolant pipe -3- and collect the leaking coolant.

-- Remove the nus -2- and coolant pipe -3-.
