Turbocharger, Removing Cylinder Bank 1 (Right), Engine Codes DWKA/DWLA/DWNB/DWPA/DWRB

If there is mechanical damage to the turbocharger. Refer to Mechanical Damage .

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Socket: T10405

Removing 

-- Follow the guidelines for clean working conditions. Refer to GUIDELINES FOR CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .

Preliminary work may be required depending on the model. Refer to TURBOCHARGER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Drain the coolant. Refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING .

-- Remove the left and right lower air duct pipe on the turbocharger. Refer to AIR DUCT PIPE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the upper coolant lines on turbocharger. Refer to UPPER COOLANT LINES ON TURBOCHARGER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the coolant line -4- and oil supply line -5-.

-- If not yet installed, remove the bolt -6- and remove the wires for the EVAP system.

-- Remove the crankcase ventilation hose -1- by pressing the release buttons on both sides.

-- Disconnect the connector -2-.

-- Remove the vacuum hose -3- without damaging it.

-- Loosen the screw-type clamp -arrow-.

-- Remove the bolt -2-.

-- Remove the turbocharger and at the same time remove the oil return connection -1-.
