Charge Air Cooler, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Pay attention to the guidelines for clean working conditions. Refer to GUIDELINES FOR CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .

-- Remove the respective front fender cover. Refer to OVERVIEW - FENDER .

-- Remove the corresponding wheel housing liner front section. Refer to FRONT WHEEL HOUSING LINER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the front bumper cover. Refer to BUMPER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Left Charge Air Cooler, Removing

-- Remove the connector -1-.

-- Loosen the hose clamps -arrows- and remove the air duct hoses -2 and 3-.

-- Release the upper and lower catches in direction of -arrow A-.

-- Remove the air duct -1- toward the left side in direction of -arrow B-.

-- Loosen the hose clamp -4- and remove the air duct hose.

-- Remove the bolts -2 and 5-.

-- Remove the left charge air cooler -1- in the direction of -arrow- from the rubber grommet -3-.

Right Charge Air Cooler, Removing

-- Release the upper and lower catches in direction of -arrow B-.

-- Remove the air duct -1- toward the right side in direction of -arrow A-.

-- Loosen the hose clamp -arrow- and remove the air duct hose from the right charge air cooler -1-.

-- Loosen the hose clamps -5- and remove the air duct hoses.

-- Remove the right charge air cooler -1- in the direction of -arrow- from the rubber grommet -4-.
