Bleed Screw
- 10 Nm
- Before installing, thinly coat with Assembly Paste: G 052 150 A2 .
Protective Cap
Bolt
- 35 Nm
- Replace after removing.
- Self-locking
- When loosening and tightening, counterhold at the guide pin
- Coat the guide pins with lithium grease before installing.
  Always Replace the Self-Locking Bolts.
Seal
- Always replace after removing.
Bolt
- 12 Nm
  Always Replace the Self-Locking Bolts.
Electro-Mechanical Parking Brake Motor
- Left Parking Brake Motor -V282-
- Right Parking Brake Motor -V283-
- Refer to LEFT AND RIGHT PARKING BRAKE MOTOR -V282- / -V283-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
Guide Pin
- Check ease of movement
- Coat the guide pins with lithium grease before installing.
Brake Pad Wear Indicator Wire
- With Left Rear Brake Pad Wear Sensor -G36- /Right Rear Brake Pad Wear Sensor - G37-
- For inner brake pad
- Replace when replacing the brake pads.
- Refer to BRAKE PAD WEAR INDICATOR WIRE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
Clip
Protective Cap
- Replace if damaged
Banjo Bolt
- 10 Nm + 45°
- Replace together with the brake hose
- Permanent with gaskets
- Check for damage
- Clean any corrosion from the sealing surface on the brake caliper
Brake Hose
- Replace if damaged
- Pay attention to the correct routing: make sure the brake hose is not blocked, bent or rubbing against the vehicle
- Make sure that tabs are properly seated in the grooves on the bracket.
  CAUTION:
  Do not damage the brake hose; a damaged brake hose must be replaced.

Bracket
- For the brake line/hose
- On the body
Spring
- Replace if damaged
Brake Line
- Brake line to brake hose tightening specification: 14 Nm
  CAUTION:
  Do not bend the brake line; a bent brake line must be replaced.
Bolt
- 8 Nm
  - Clean bolts before reusing.
  - Replace damaged bolts.
  - Always replace self-locking bolts.
Bracket
- For the connectors
Bolt
- 100 Nm + 90°
- Always Replace after removing.
- Self-locking
  Always Replace the Self-Locking Bolts.
Wheel Bearing Housing
Brake Shield
- Refer to BRAKE SHIELD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
Bolt
- 10 Nm
  - Clean bolts before reusing.
  - Replace damaged bolts.
  - Always replace self-locking bolts.
Brake Rotor
- Brake Rotor Thickness. Refer to CERAMIC BRAKE ROTOR, DETERMINING WEAR .
- Additionally check for:
  - Cracks in connection area. Refer to CRACKS IN CERAMIC BRAKE ROTOR CONNECTION AREA .
  - Chamfer. Refer to CHAMFER .
  - Nicks. Refer to NICKS ON CERAMIC BRAKE ROTOR .
  - Crack in cooling channel. Refer to CRACK IN COOLING CHANNEL .
- Do not use excessive force to separate the brake rotor from the wheel hub. Use rust remover, if necessary, otherwise the brake rotor could be damaged.
- Refer to BRAKE ROTOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
  WARNING:
  If a brake rotor is damaged or worn, check the other brake rotors for damage and wear.
Bolt
- 10 Nm
  - Clean bolts before reusing.
  - Replace damaged bolts.
  - Always replace self-locking bolts.
Brake Pads
- Always replace on both axles.
- Check the pad thickness. Refer to 413.
- Refer to BRAKE PADS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
- Installation position. Refer to Fig 2.
Brake Carrier
- Delivered as an assembled replacement part with sufficient grease on the guide pins
- Coat the guide pins with lithium grease before installing.
- Refer to BRAKE CARRIER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
- Clean the contact surfaces for the brake pads and thinly coat with Lithium Grease: G 052 150 A2

Brake Caliper
- Refer to BRAKE CALIPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
- Refer to BRAKE CALIPER, REPLACING
- After servicing or replacing, perform "Guided Fault Finding" using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
