Vibration Damper Seal, Replacing

Procedure 

Preliminary work may be required depending on the model. Refer to VIBRATION DAMPER SEAL, REPLACING .

-- Remove the vibration damper. Refer to VIBRATION DAMPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the seal -arrow- with the : T40274  .

-- Clean the contact and sealing surface.

-- Push the seal -arrow- on the : T10354  .

• The closed side of the seal points to the : T10354  .

-- Vehicle with generator: push the seal -arrow- with the : T10354  on the : T10531/2  -1- and place on the lower timing chain cover.

-- Vehicle with start generator: push the seal -arrow- with the : T10354  on the : T10531/6  -1- and place on the lower timing chain cover.

-- Additionally attach the : T10375  and tighten the : T10531/4  .

-- Drive the seal in all the way using the : T10354  .

Further installation is performed in reverse order of removal, while noting the following:

• Replace the bolt with O-ring for the vibration damper after removal.
• Vibration Damper Seal, Replacing.

-- Install the vibration damper. Refer to VIBRATION DAMPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
