Bearing Bracket, Removing And Installing: Installing

-- Install the bolts -arrows- and tighten them. Tightening specifications -item : Bolt.
-- Coat the holes -arrows- with engine oil.
-- Check if the adapter sleeve -1- is installed.
- If a new bearing bracket -3- with adapter sleeve -4- should be installed, it must be checked before installing the bearing bracket in the hole -arrow- in the cylinder head -1-.
- If the hole -arrow- is not designed for using the adapter sleeve -4- the adapter sleeve must be removed from the bearing bracket. For this hole the short bolt -2- should be used. Bolt. Refer to the Parts Information.
- Carefully connect the bearing bracket without tilting - risk of damage.
-- Attach the bearing mount and install the bolts -arrows- all the way by hand.
-- Remove the Tensioner Locking Tool: T40267 .
-- Tighten the bearing bracket bolts. Refer to Figure.
Installation is performed in reverse order of removal, noting the following:
-- Install the upper timing chain cover. Refer to UPPER TIMING CHAIN COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
After working on the chain drive, the adaptation must be performed using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester. Refer to ADAPTING AFTER REPLACING COMPONENTS .
