1. Ribbed Belt
   • Check for wear
   • Do not kink
   • Ribbed belt routing. Refer to Fig 2.
   • Before removing, mark the running direction using chalk or a felt-tip pen.
   • Removing and Installing. Refer to RIBBED BELT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
   • When installing, make sure it is seated correctly on the ribbed belt pulleys
2. Bolt
   • Vehicles with manual transmission and strength grade 10.9: 240 Nm + 180°
   • Vehicles with automatic transmission and strength grade 8.8: 150 Nm + 90°
   • Vehicles with automatic transmission and strength grade 10.9: 100 Nm + 180°
   • Replace after removing.
   • Coat the O-ring with engine oil
   • There are different versions, depending on the transmission type and the bolt strength grade
   • The bolt strength grade is specified on the bolt head
3. O-Ring
   • Not available separately, included in the delivery package -item  : Bolt
4. Vibration Damper
   • With the ribbed belt pulley
   • There are different versions. Refer to the Parts Information for the allocation.
   • Removing and Installing. Refer to VIBRATION DAMPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, STARTER GENERATOR .
5. Bolt
   • 8 Nm + 45°; gradually in a diagonal sequence
   • Replace after removing.
6. Sub-Assembly Bracket
   • With oil filter housing and engine oil cooler
   • Removing and installing the sub-assembly bracket. Refer to SUB-ASSEMBLY BRACKET, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, STARTER GENERATOR .
   • Removing and installing the engine oil cooler. Refer to ENGINE OIL COOLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
7. Seal
   • Replace after removing.
8. Bolt
   • Tightening Specifications and Sequence. Refer to Fig 3.
   • Replace after removing.
9. Starter Generator -C29-
   • Overview. Refer to OVERVIEW - GENERATOR .
10. Bolt
    • Tightening specification. Refer to OVERVIEW - GENERATOR .
11. Tensioner
    • For the ribbed belt
    • There are different versions. Refer to the Parts Information for the allocation.
    • Removing and Installing. Refer to RIBBED BELT TENSIONER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
12. A/C Compressor
    • Removing and Installing. Refer to A/C COMPRESSOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING ON BRACKET .
13. Bolt
    • Tightening specification. Refer to OVERVIEW - A/C COMPRESSOR .
14. Alignment Sleeves

• Replace the bolts that were tightened with an additional turn after removing them.

-- Mount the sub-assembly bracket and then install the bolts -4- first.
