Door Inner Cover, Removing And Installing

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Wedge Set:T10383 

Removing 

-- Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to FRONT DOOR TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Equipment Versions without Door Closing Assist Motor:

-- Free up the wiring harness -1 and 6-.

-- Using the : T10383/1  , lift up the sealing lip -4-.

-- Reach behind the sealing lip by hand and push the door inner cover -2- in direction of the -arrow- ; this will loosen the retainer -5-.

-- Remove the door inner cover.

-- Disengage the grommet -3- for the door opener operating cable.

Equipment Versions with Door Closing Assist Motor:

-- Disengage the operating cable -6- on the door closing assist motor. Refer to DRIVER/FRONT PASSENGER DOOR CLOSING AID MOTOR -V302- / -V303-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Disconnect the connector -2- and free up the wiring harness -1 and 5-.

-- Turn the expanding pin -arrows- 180° counter-clockwise until the catch removes.

-- Pry the door inner cover -4- out of the inner door panel using the :T10383/1  .

-- Loosen the grommets for the cables -3 and 7-.

Installing 

Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:

-- Bring the cable into the installation position and snap into the grommets in the holes.

-- Push on the door inner cover -4- until it engages and secure using the expanding pins -3-.

• The tab -2- must point to the arrow mark -1-.
• The door inner cover must be installed flush.
