Overview - Oil Pan/Oil Pump

- If large quantities of metal shavings or abraded material are found in the engine oil while servicing the engine, the oil passages must be carefully cleaned to prevent subsequent damage. Replace the additional oil spray jets, engine oil cooler and oil filter element.
- Oil spray jet for piston cooling. Refer to OVERVIEW - PISTONS AND CONNECTING ROD .

- Tightening Specifications and Sequence. Refer to Fig 1.
- Replace after removing.
- Oil Pan Lower Section
- Removing and installing. Refer to OIL PAN LOWER SECTION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Intake Tube
- For the oil pump

Oil Pan Upper Section - Tightening Specifications and Sequence
- These multiple tightening to 9 Nm take into account the shrinkage of the components.
-- Tighten the bolts -1 to 21- in steps as shown:
