Bumper Cover, Removing And Installing, A7 SPORTBACK: Removing

-- Remove the bolts -1-.

-- Push the rear wheel housing liner -3- to the side.

-- Remove the screw -2-.

-- Disconnect the connectors -1 and 2-.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- from the bumper cover lower section.

-- Remove the lock carrier trim panel. Refer to OVERVIEW - LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE TRIM PANEL .

-- Pry out the cap -1- in the left luggage compartment side trim panel.

-- Open the right luggage compartment side trim panel cap.

-- Using the :T40078  , remove the nuts -arrows-.

-- Remove the tail lamp. Refer to OVERVIEW - BODY TAIL LAMPS .

-- Insert the :T40207  into the opening and pull the locking rail -1- upward to unlock it -arrow-.

-- Release the retaining strips -3 and 4- at the catches -2- on the side mount.

-- Disengage the side wall -1- on the side panel outward -arrow A-.

-- With a second technician  , remove the bumper cover -5- -B arrows-.

-- Right side: if equipped, disconnect the antenna wire -arrow-.

-- Equipment versions with trailer hitch: guide the wiring harness out at the body opening.

-- Lay the bumper cover on a soft surface.
