High-Mounted Brake Lamp Bulb, Removing And Installing, A7 SPORTBACK: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:
- The entire high-mounted brake lamp must be replaced if an LED is faulty.
- Replace seals.
- The vehicle and the high-mounted brake lamp must be room temperature.
- The adhesive surfaces must not have any dirt or great on them.
-- Completely remove the adhesive residue.
-- Clean the adhesive surface using the Cleaning Solution: D 009 401 04 .
-- Remove the protective film from the seal -3- and press on the high-mounted brake lamp -4-.
- Assistance from a second technician is necessary for the following step.
-- Insert the high-mounted brake lamp with a second technician.
-- Guide the wiring harness -5- in through the opening.
-- Remove the protective film from the seal and insert in the high-mounted brake lamp bulb in the outer clip nuts -6-.
-- Push the rubber lip -1- using the : T10383/1 under the rear window -2-.
