Led Module 1, Removing And Installing, Led Headlamps, A6: Removing

Working with the : VAS6613 . Refer to ELECTRO-STATIC DISCHARGE WORK SURFACE .
To protect against electrostatic discharge, the : VAS6613 is designed to provide sufficient grounding.

-- Remove the headlamp. Refer to HEADLAMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

TIP:

The headlamp housing must be cut at the designated location with a sharp box cutter to replace the LED module.

A housing cover can be ordered to seal the installation opening. Refer to the Parts Information.

CAUTION:

There is a risk of damaging the wires when cutting the headlamp housing.

- Cut the opening in the headlamp housing as flat as possible.

CAUTION:

There is a risk of injury from the knife and plastic particles in the air.

Eye irritation or injury could occur.

- Wear protective eyewear.

- Wear safety gloves.

-- Cut the blind cover -2- out of the headlamp housing -1- with a sharp carpet knife.

-- Remove any shavings and grit on the blind cover from the headlamp housing.

-- Place the headlamp on the ESD work surface.

-- Remove the screws -arrows-.

-- Remove the LED module -3-.

-- Disconnect the connector -2- by releasing the retainer -1-.
