Radiator, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Remove the impact member. Refer to IMPACT MEMBER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the bracket with right spring element. Refer to OVERVIEW - LOCK CARRIER .
-- Disconnect the connectors and free them up:
- For the Transmission Fluid Cooling Pump -V478-
- For Transmission Fluid Cooling Valve -N509-
-- Place the :VAS6208 underneath.
-- Loosen the hose clamps -arrows- and remove the coolant hoses.
-- Release the left and right retainers, remove the right air guide -1- and leave the left air guide -2- as is.
-- Disconnect the connector -2- for the High Pressure Sensor -G65-.
Risk of damaging the retainers due to improper handling.
- Carefully release the retainers.
-- Carefully release the left and right catches in direction of -arrows-.
Risk of damaging the refrigerant lines and hoses by removing and pivoting the condenser.
- Do not stretch, bend or kink the refrigerant lines and hoses.
-- Disengage the condenser -1- on the radiator and tie it up to the side.
-- Lift the clamps -1 and 2-, remove and free up the coolant hose from the radiator.
-- Remove the bolt -1-.
-- Loosen the hose clamp -3-, lift the clamp -2- and remove the coolant hoses from the radiator.
-- Disconnect the connectors -1 and 2- for the radiator fan.
-- To release the catches -arrow- press the bracket -3- with the connectors to the right.
-- Release the left and right catches in direction of -arrows- and remove the retaining pin -1- for the radiator upward.
-- Remove the bolts to the left and right -arrows- and remove the radiator bracket with the radiator.
TIP:
If necessary:
- Remove the auxiliary radiator. Refer to AUXILIARY RADIATOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- If the radiator is supposed to be replaced, push the left and right locking tabs for the fan shroud at the same time in direction of -arrow-, and remove the fan shroud upward from the radiator.
