Cylinder Bank 2 (Left) Camshaft Housing, Removing And Installing: Removing

Depending on the model, preliminary work may be required. Refer to CAMSHAFT HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the camshaft timing chain from the camshafts. Refer to CAMSHAFT TIMING CHAIN, REMOVING FROM CAMSHAFTS .

-- Remove the oil separator on cylinder bank 2 (left). Refer to OIL SEPARATOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the fuel injectors. Refer to FUEL INJECTORS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the left high pressure pump. Refer to HIGH PRESSURE PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and move the bracket -1- to the side.

-- Remove the noise insulation lower section -2-.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- for the heat shield -1-.

-- Loosen and remove the camshaft housing bolts in the sequence -24 to 1-.

-- Carefully loosen the camshaft housing -2- with a bolt driver -1- from the bonding and remove.
