Safety Precautions When Working On Underbody

CAUTION:
Risk of injury due to crash lifting
Pinching parts of the body is possible. For vehicles with active suspension, the crash lift must be deactivated for procedures in the pit or on the scissor lift.
-- Deactivating the crash lift: switch off the ignition and open the driver door one time.
CAUTION:
Risk of injury due to comfort lifting or lowering
Pinching parts of the body is possible. For vehicles with active suspension, the vehicle can be lifted or lowered using the convenience entry function when the ignition is switched off.
