Electronic Steering Column Lock Control Module -J764-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Removing

-- If the Electronic Steering Column Lock Control Module -J764- is replaced, then select the "Control Module, Replacing" program. Refer to DIAGNOSTIC ENTRIES .

-- Start the selected program and follow the instructions on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester display.

-- Remove the steering column from the instrument panel crossmember and place in the driver footwell with the steering intermediate shaft attached. Refer to STEERING COLUMN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Switch the ignition on.

-- Remove the bolts -2-.

-- Push the tab -1- in the -direction of the arrow-. Remove the Electronic Steering Column Lock Control Module - J764- -2-.

-- Disconnect the connector from the Electronic Steering Column Lock Control Module - J764-.
