Charge Air Cooler, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Observe the guidelines for clean working conditions. Refer to GUIDELINES FOR CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .
-- Remove the lock carrier cover and the bumper cover end plate. Refer to Front Bumper .
-- Release the catches -arrow- and remove the air ducts -1 and 3-.
-- Loosen the left and right hose clamp -1- and remove the air duct pipe from the charge air cooler.
CAUTION:
Risk of damaging the retainers due to improper handling.
- Carefully release the retainers.
-- Release the retainers in direction of -arrows- on the left and right sides and carefully disengage the charge air cooler from the radiator.
-- Remove the charge air cooler downward.
