1. Bleed Screw
   • 11 Nm
   • Before installing, thinly coat with Assembly Paste :G 052 150 A2  .
2. Protective Cap
3. Bolt
   • 35 Nm
   • Replace damaged bolts
   • Replace the self-locking bolts after removing them
   • Clean bolts before reusing
   • When loosening and tightening, counterhold at the guide pin
4. Seal
   • Replace after removing.
5. Bolt
   • 13 Nm
     CAUTION:

     Clean the bolts and nuts before reusing.

     Replace the bolts and nuts if damaged.

     Replace the self-locking bolts and nuts after removing

6. Electro-Mechanical Parking Brake Motor
   • Left Parking Brake Motor -V282-
   • Right Parking Brake Motor -V283-
   • Refer to LEFT AND RIGHT PARKING BRAKE MOTOR -V282- / -V283-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING 
7. Guide Pin
   • Check ease of movement
8. Clip
9. Brake Pad Wear Indicator Wire
   • For inner brake pad
   • With
     • Left Rear Brake Pad Wear Sensor -G36-
     • Right Rear Brake Pad Wear Sensor -G37-
   • Replace when replacing the brake pads.
   • Refer to BRAKE PAD WEAR INDICATOR WIRE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING 
10. Protective Cap
    • Replace if damaged
11. Banjo Bolt
    • 35 Nm
    • Replace together with the brake hose
    • Permanent with seals
    • Check for damage
    • Clean any corrosion from the sealing surface on the brake caliper
12. Brake Hose
    • Replace if damaged
    • Pay attention to the correct routing: make sure the brake hose is not blocked, bent or rubbing against the vehicle
    • Make sure that tabs are properly seated in the grooves on the bracket.
13. Bracket
    • For the brake line/hose
    • On the body
14. Spring
    • Replace if damaged
15. Brake Line
    • Brake line to brake hose tightening specification: 14 Nm
      CAUTION:

      Risk of destroying the brake lines by bending.

      - Never change the shape of the brake lines.

      - A damaged or bent brake line must be replaced.

16. Bracket
    • For the brake line
17. Bolt
    • 100 Nm +90°
      CAUTION:

      Clean the bolts and nuts before reusing.

      Replace the bolts and nuts if damaged.

      Replace the self-locking bolts and nuts after removing

18. Wheel Bearing Housing
19. Bolt
    • 20 Nm
      CAUTION:

      Clean the bolts and nuts before reusing.

      Replace the bolts and nuts if damaged.

      Replace the self-locking bolts and nuts after removing

20. Bracket
    • For the brake line/hose
21. Brake Shield
    • Refer to BRAKE SHIELD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING 
22. Bolt
    • 10 Nm
      CAUTION:

      Clean the bolts and nuts before reusing.

      Replace the bolts and nuts if damaged.

      Replace the self-locking bolts and nuts after removing

23. Brake Rotor
    • Do not use excessive force to separate the brake rotor from the wheel hub. Use rust remover, if necessary, otherwise the brake rotor could be damaged.
    • Replace on both sides of axle if worn.
      CAUTION:

      If a ceramic brake rotor is damaged or worn, check the other brake rotors for damage and wear.

    • Refer to BRAKE ROTOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING 
24. Bolt
    • 10 Nm
      CAUTION:

      Clean the bolts and nuts before reusing.

      Replace the bolts and nuts if damaged.

      Replace the self-locking bolts and nuts after removing

25. Brake Pads
    • Always replace on both axles.
    • Check the pad thickness. Refer to BRAKE PADS, CHECKING THICKNESS .
    • Refer to BRAKE PADS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING 
    • Installation position. Refer to Fig 2.

      TIP:

      • Coat the brake pad backing plate with grease.
      • Coat the guide pin with lithium grease.
      • Do "not" coat the rubber components, seals and adhesive surfaces for the brake pad-backing plate with grease or paste.
26. Brake Carrier
    • Delivered as an assembled replacement part with sufficient grease on the guide pins
    • Refer to BRAKE CARRIER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING 
    • Clean the contact surfaces for the brake pads and thinly coat with Lithium Grease :G 052 150 A2 
27. Brake Caliper
    • Refer to BRAKE CALIPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING 
    • Refer to BRAKE CALIPER, REPLACING 
    • After servicing or replacing, perform "Guided Fault Finding"  using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

-- Pay attention to the labeling on the backing plate of the brake pads.

AD -  Inner

AE -  Outside

Additionally the inner brake pad has an opening -arrow- for the contact of the brake pad wear indicator.
