BOSCH Antilock Brake System Tester VAG 1710, Connecting
- Ignition switched off.
-- Remove rear bench seat.
-- Disconnect harness connector from ABS Control Module (w/EDL) -J104- - by depressing spring lock (arrow).
-- Connect adapter harness fromBosch ABS Tester:VAG1710 to harness connector for ABS Control Module (w/EDL) -J104-.
-- Set Bosch ABS Tester:VAG1710 program switch -1- to position 3.
-- Switch ignition on.
-- Press button 2 onBosch ABS Tester:VAG1710 until brake fluid coming out of bleeder screw on caliper is free of bubbles.
- ABS return flow pump -V39- must run audibly.
- This operation should not last longer than 60 seconds.
- If necessary, after 60 seconds allow parts to cool down for at least 5 minutes, then repeat bleeding operation.
-- Switch ignition off, disconnect Bosch ABS Tester:VAG1710 , reconnect AABS Control Module (w/EDL) -J104-, and install rear bench seat.
