Vacuum Pump, Removing And Installing, 2.0L TFSI Engine: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:

CAUTION:

Clean the bolts and nuts before reusing.

Replace the bolts and nuts if damaged.

Replace the self-locking bolts and nuts after removing

Replace the seal after removal.
Check the vacuum lines for damage before assembling and replace if necessary.
Secure all hose connections with hose clamps that match the ones used in series production. Refer to the Parts Information.

-- Turn the vacuum pump yoke -1- so it engages in the groove on the camshaft when positioning the vacuum pump -arrows-.

-- Install the vacuum hose with the hose clamp -1- connected.

-- Tighten the bolts -arrows-.

-- Install the high pressure pump. Refer to HIGH PRESSURE PIPE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
