Vacuum Pump, Removing And Installing, 2.0L TDI EVO Engine: Removing

-- Remove the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the plenum chamber bulkhead. Refer to PLENUM CHAMBER BULKHEAD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Free up the wire on the clip -1-.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Loosen the screw-type clamp -3- and remove the air duct pipe.

-- Disconnect the connector -1- for the Exhaust Pressure Sensor 1 -G450-.

-- Remove the connector -2- for the Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 3 -G495- /Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 4 -G648- from the bracket.

TIP:

• Do not damage the vacuum hose.
• A damaged vacuum hose must be replaced.

-- Unlock the catch -arrow A- and release -arrow B-, and remove the vacuum hose.

-- Remove the bolts -3- and move the bracket to the side.

-- Remove the bolts -1 through 5- and remove the vacuum pump.
