Overview - Cylinder Block, Transmission Side: Notes

- Flywheel
- Removing and installing. Refer to FLYWHEEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Only possible to install in one position - holes are offset -
- Alignment Sleeve
- Transmission Side Sealing Flange
- With gasket
- Do not apply oil to the seal.
- Replacing. Refer to SEALING FLANGE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, TRANSMISSION SIDE .
- Before installing, remove oil residue from crankshaft journal with a clean cloth.
- The guide sleeve may only be removed after the sealing flange has been slid onto the crankshaft journal.

- The illustration does not show the version in the vehicle.
- Be careful not to damage or bend when installing
- Installing. Refer to Fig 4.
- Alignment Sleeve
- Bolt
- 60 Nm +90°
- Replace after removing
Transmission Side Sealing Flange - Tightening Specification and Sequence, with Six Bolts
- Replace bolts that were tightened with an additional turn after removing them.
-- Tighten the bolts in the steps in the sequence shown:

| 1. | -1 to 6- | Install all the way by hand |
| 2. | -1 to 6- | Steel bolts: 9 Nm Aluminum bolts: 4 Nm |
| 3. | -1 to 6- | Aluminum bolts: 45° additional turn |
TIP:
Only six bolts are installed, two bolt openings remain open.
Transmission Side Sealing Flange - Tightening Specifications and Sequence, with Eight Bolts
- Replace bolts that were tightened with an additional turn after removing them.
-- Tighten the bolts in the steps in the sequence shown:
