Muffler, Removing And Installing: Removing

Equipped on Some Models:
-- Loosen the center underbody trim panel from the inside and slightly lower. Refer to OVERVIEW - UNDERBODY TRIM PANELS .
-- Remove the rear tunnel underbody trim panels. Refer to OVERVIEW - UNDERBODY TRIM PANELS .
Continuation for All Vehicles:
-- Loosen the clamping sleeve -arrow- and push it toward the rear.
CAUTION:
Risk of accident due to the heavy weight of the muffler.
- A second technician is required for the following work steps.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and then remove the muffler.
