Catalytic Converter, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the Oxygen Sensor 1 after Catalytic Converter -GX7-. Refer to HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolt -2- and the screw-type clamp.

-- Remove the nuts -1 and 3-. (Shown with the engine removed.)

-- Remove the noise insulations. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .

-- Remove the nuts -arrows- and remove the right drive axle heat shield -1-.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the heat shield -1-.

-- Mark the position of flexible disc and the bevel box flange to each other for reinstallation.

-- Using a lever to counterhold the triangular flange, remove the driveshaft from the bevel box -arrows-.

-- Remove the bolt -1-.

-- Push the engine/transmission assembly to the lock carrier -arrow- and install the bolt several turns.

-- Remove the driveshaft from the bevel box and move it to the left.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Loosen the clamping sleeve -arrow- and push it toward the rear.

-- Remove the catalytic converter with the front exhaust pipe.
