Catalytic Converter, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

Replace seals and self-locking nuts after disassembly.
Coat the exhaust manifold stud bolts with hot bolt past. Refer to the appropriate Electronic Parts Information.

-- Mount the catalytic converter on the turbocharger and install the screw-type clamp loosely.

-- Tighten the nuts and screw-type clamp. Refer to Figure.

-- Install the driveshaft. Refer to OVERVIEW - DRIVESHAFT .

-- Install the exhaust system without tension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .
