Oil Level, Checking

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

Test Requirements

-- Read the oil temperature using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in Guided Functions  .

Enter "Guided Fault Finding" :

-- Switch the ignition on.

-- Touch the "Guided Functions" field/button on the screen.

-- Select one after another on the tester:

-- Read the oil temperature.

Check the Oil Level.

-- Place the :VAS6208  under the final drive.

-- Remove the oil level inspection plug -2-.

The Oil Level Is Correct if the All Wheel Drive Clutch Is Filled to the Lower Edge of the Oil Filler Hole or up to 3 Mm below the Oil Filler Hole.

-- Fill the oil for the all wheel drive clutch if necessary. Refer to Fill the All Wheel Drive Clutch Oil .
