All Wheel Drive Clutch Pump, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal while noting the following:

-- Replace the O-rings -1- and -2-.

-- Coat the O-rings -1- and -2- lightly with all wheel drive clutch oil.

-- Press the All Wheel Drive Clutch Pump -V181- -2- all the way into the all-wheel drive clutch housing. Make sure the wiring harness -3- is routed correctly.

-- Tighten the bolts -1-.

-- Loosen the bolt -arrow- on the front final drive mounting bracket approximately seven turns.

-- Connect the connector -arrow- on the All Wheel Drive Control Module -J492-.

-- Secure rear final drive to subframe with a new bolt -arrow-.

-- Add all wheel drive clutch oil and check the oil level in the all wheel drive clutch. Refer to Fill the All Wheel Drive Clutch Oil .

• If a new pump is installed, a basic setting must be performed.

-- Connect the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester with the vehicle and start the Diagnostic  mode.

• Select vehicle test 
• All wheel drive (AWD) 5 
• 01 OBD-capable system 
• 22 All Wheel Drive Control Module J492 
• 22 AWD electronics, functions 
• 22 Basic setting 

-- Follow the instructions in the display.
