Safety Precautions When Working On Exhaust System

There is a risk of damaging the coupling

Improper handling can cause the coupling to become damaged or to leak.

-- Coupling must not be bent more than 10°.

-- Do not load the coupling on the cable.

There is a risk of injury due to the exhaust system components

It is possible to injure hands and other parts of the body due to hot and sharp-edged components in the exhaust system.

-- Allow the exhaust system to cool.

-- Wear safety gloves.

Exhaust system components can present health risks.

Health risks can result from disassembling the exhaust gas temperature sensor.
