1. Brake Line
   • With standard tool: 14 Nm
   • With special tool. Refer to Fig 2 12 Nm
2. Bracket
   • For the brake line/hose
   • On the body
3. Spring
   • Replace if damaged
4. Brake Hose
   • Make sure it is in the installation position
5. Bleed Screw
   • 11 Nm
6. Protective Cap
7. Seal
   • Replace after removing.
8. Bolt
   • 8 Nm
9. Parking Brake Motor
   • Refer to Left Parking Brake Motor -V282- /Right Parking Brake Motor -V283-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
10. Cap
    • For the guide pins
11. Guide Pin
    • 35 Nm
12. Wheel Bearing Housing
13. Bolt
    • 90 Nm + 90°
    • Replace after removing.
14. Brake Shield
    • Refer to BRAKE SHIELD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
15. Brake Rotor
    • Do not use excessive force to separate the brake rotor from the wheel hub. Use rust remover, if necessary, otherwise the brake rotor could be damaged.
    • Replace on both sides of axle if worn.
    • Refer to BRAKE ROTOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
16. Bolt
    • 12 Nm
17. Bolt
    • 8 Nm
18. Brake Carrier
    • Refer to BRAKE CARRIER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
19. Spring
20. Outer Brake Pad
    • Always replace on both axles.
    • Allocation. Refer to the Parts Information.
    • Check the pad thickness. For the wear limit. Refer to BRAKE PADS, CHECKING THICKNESS
    • Refer to BRAKE PADS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING 
    • Installation Position
      • All vehicles excluding vehicles with 2.5L TFSI engine. Refer to Figure.
      • Vehicles with 2.5L TFSI engine. Refer to Figure.
21. Inner Brake Pad
    • Always replace on both axles.
    • Allocation. Refer to the Parts Information.
    • With spring
    • Check the pad thickness. For the wear limit. Refer to BRAKE PADS, CHECKING THICKNESS
    • Refer to BRAKE PADS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING 
    • Installation Position
      • All vehicles excluding vehicles with 2.5L TFSI engine. Refer to Figure.
      • Vehicles with 2.5L TFSI engine. Refer to Figure.
22. Brake Caliper
    • Allocation. Refer to the Parts Information.
    • Do not remove the brake hose when changing the brake pads.
    • Refer to BRAKE CALIPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING 
    • Refer to BRAKE CALIPER, REPLACING 
    • After servicing or replacing, perform "Guided Fault Finding" using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
23. Banjo Bolt
    • 35 Nm
    • Permanent with seals
    • Clean any corrosion from the sealing surface on the brake caliper
    • If damaged, replace the brake hose

Tighten the Brake Lines with Special Tools

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Open Ring Spanner Insert - AF 11mm: VAG1410/6 
• Torque Wrench - Universal Joint : VAG1410/7 
• Mini Torque Wrench: VAS6854
