Speaker Trim, Removing And Installing
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Scraper no. 1 from the Scraper Set: VAS 6845
Outer Speaker Trim, Removing
There is a risk of damaging the speaker trim if handled incorrectly.
- Carefully removing and installing the speaker trim.
-- Carefully disengage the speaker trim -1- using the scraper from the Scraper Set : VAS 6845 -arrows- by pushing the scraper only approximately 2 mm in the gap under the speaker trim.
TIP:
If the scraper is inserted farther, it will be located under the mount. It is then not possible to pry out the speaker trim.
-- Disengage the remaining speaker trim retainers and remove toward the rear.
Center Speaker Trim, Removing
-- Carefully disengage the speaker trim -1- using the scraper from the Scraper Set : VAS 6845 -arrows A- by pushing the scraper only approximately 2 mm into the gap under the speaker trim as shown here as an example.
TIP:
If the scraper is inserted farther, it will be located under the mount. It is then not possible to pry out the speaker trim.
-- Disengage the remaining tabs for the speaker trim along the seam.
-- To do this, push the scraper or a long flat-head screwdriver forward under the speaker trim and disengage the front retainers -B arrows-.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal.
